M.R. Dirt Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the daily, on-site operations of construction projects. This position manages field personnel, subcontractors, schedules and safety protocols to ensure each project is completed safely, on time and within budget.

Core Responsibilities

Site Management & Safety

Direct daily jobsite activities, enforce OSHA safety standards, conduct daily safety briefings and maintain a clean, secure work environment.

Scheduling & Coordination

Create and maintain detailed master schedules, coordinate subcontractors, manage material deliveries and resolve jobsite conflicts.

Quality Control

Inspect work in progress and completed work to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes and quality standards.

Subcontractor Management

Lead subcontractor trades, monitor crew sizes and performance, and conduct regular jobsite progress meetings.

Budget & Documentation

Maintain daily logs, site photographs, change orders, timecards and equipment-usage records. Assist with controlling field-level costs.

Communication & Liaison

Serve as the primary on-site liaison among project managers, architects, engineers, inspectors and clients.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred. A minimum of five years of supervisory field experience is required.

Certifications

OSHA 30-Hour certification required. First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in reading blueprints, shop drawings and structural specifications. Familiarity with scheduling software such as Procore or Microsoft Project.

Professional Skills

Strong communication, leadership, conflict-resolution, time-management and crisis-management abilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist equipment operators and other crew members with daily jobsite tasks

Load, unload and organize tools, materials and supplies

Perform general site preparation and cleanup

Use hand and power tools safely

Assist with digging, grading, drainage and other excavation-related work

Help install pipe, materials and jobsite components as directed

Follow instructions from supervisors and equipment operators

Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area

Follow all company and jobsite safety procedures

Perform other general labor duties as needed

Qualifications

Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions

Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending and standing for extended periods

Willing to learn new tasks and operate tools safely

Construction, excavation or oilfield experience is helpful but not required

Primary Responsibilities

Track excavation inventory, tools and equipment

Keep the yard clean, orderly and easy to navigate

Monitor items entering and leaving the yard

Help employees locate needed tools and equipment

Report missing, damaged or low-stock items

Assist with general yard and inventory-related duties

Qualifications
